Although Mr. Rodzianko's pamphlet was printed in 1954 fifty-six years ago, it is not outdated, since the reasons for the existence of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia have remained unchanged from the very beginning. It clarifies the interaction of the many threads of Russian-rooted Orthodoxy outside Russia during the revolutionary and post-revolutionary period. The significance of this book lies in a documented rebuttal of a series of polemical arguments used against the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia in the West and in the USSR.
